Hi, I’m Dr. Emilio
I’ve been the patient, too.
From Patient to Chiropractor
I opened Vida Chiropractic because I wanted to create the kind of healthcare experience, I would want for myself and my family, and Austin felt like the perfect place to do it. I’ve always loved this city for its outdoor spaces, active culture, and all the ways people can get outside, stay active, and enjoy life. I want to help people keep doing exactly that.
At Vida Chiropractic, I listen, explain what I am seeing, and take the time to understand the person in front of me, not just their symptoms. My goal isn’t simply to help you hurt less. I want you to live your best VIDA.
Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find me searching for the best barbacoa in Austin, practicing at the Austin Archery Club, or working my way through every state park in Texas.
I’m a Texas native, a lifelong athlete, and someone who has always loved being active and outdoors. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to stay active and keep doing the things I love for as long as possible.
Years of training and injuries as a gymnast eventually left me dealing with multiple herniated discs in my lower back. Like a lot of people, I ignored my body for too long and kept pushing until eventually it pushed back. I found myself frustrated, limited, and searching for answers. I've been the patient — hurting, unsure what was wrong, and wondering if I'd ever feel normal again.
That search led me to chiropractic care, and it changed the direction of my life. As I began moving and feeling better again, I realized how much you lose when your body keeps you from doing the things you love. I also realized I had finally found the career I had been looking for: something active, something meaningful, and something that allows me to help other people keep doing what they love.
I went on to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University, where I also pursued additional training in chiropractic techniques, rehabilitation, movement, soft-tissue care, and other approaches to musculoskeletal health outside the classroom. My approach isn’t limited to one technique or philosophy. I draw from multiple disciplines to create a care plan that is truly individualized to the person in front of me.
